Under the watchful eyes of the orixás, our baiana goddess, a living embodiment of the sensuality of Salvador, begins her dance. Her body undulates, a symphony of motion that tells the story of her people, their struggles, and their triumphs. The pagode music swells, and so does her desire. She's a gostosa, a term of endearment that belies the raw, primal hunger within her. As she peels off her outer layers, she reveals her intention to consume, to be consumed, in a dance as old as the land itself.
