Congregation's Rear Guard

In the dim light of the church, the congregation kneels, their heads bowed in prayer. But as the rumble of the military convoy grows louder, their thoughts turn from divine to carnal. The soldiers' eager eyes scan the group, lingering on the curves of the women, the muscular forms of the men. The convoy rolls past, the soldiers' desires palpable, their engines a low, throbbing hum. As the last truck disappears, the congregation rises, their bodies humming with unspent passion, their prayers forgotten, their minds filled with the primal rhythm of the convoy's engines.
